Masala Chai Tea offered by us is a hand blended tea. This is a popular Chai tea blend that has gained popularity worldwide, while originating from India. This tea is also known as Karak Chai in the middle east and as Chai Latte in some parts of the world. This is a traditional Indian blend which consists of rich Sri Lankan natural spices and Ceylon tea. Authentic Ceylon spices such as Cloves, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Ginger, Cinnamon, Star anise and Pepper have been blended to get a rich aromatic scent and a spicy after taste. Most of these spices are blende in powder-form while some of them in whole form. To preserve the original Ceylon tea flavor, we have used Orthodox manufactured Ceylon black tea for this blend. While usually Indian Masala Chai tea blends consist of CTC black tea. Mostly Masala chai tea blends are served with Milk and sugar.
Popular way to prepare Masala chai is by simmering the blend (1.5 Teaspoon per cup) in a pot of water or a saucepan for 3-5 mins. And after that have to strain the tea and add the milk. There are other different preparation methods as well.
