Ceylon Earl Grey is a well known blend around the world for it’s history and cultural influence. Probably it might be the most popular flavored tea blend among Tea enthusiasts around the world. Due to it’s popularity it is always linked with Ceylon Tea. Some people even question “Is Earl Grey same as Ceylon Tea”. Because most producers use Ceylon black tea as the base tea for most of these blends.
It’s flavor is distinct due it’s sharp bitter lemony citrus note and refreshing floral flavor. This tea blend has a noticeable Citrusy flavor and aroma from the Bergamot flavoring. For our blend, we use Ceylon FBOP tea as the base tea. It has been blended with natural Bergamot oil sourced from Germany. In addition natural Bluecorn flowers have been added to smoothen the citrus flavor. This type of Earl grey blends are also known as “Lady Earl Grey’s Tea”. This tea can be brewed to consume as an iced tea as well. In general it is widely preferred as a tea that could be had on it’s own as a plain tea. But for some the citrus flavor can be too bitter, so it can be enjoyed with some milk or some sweeteners.
