OP Tea, meaning of it is Orange Pekoe Tea. It is a grade of tea that has larger leaves compared to other Ceylon black tea grades. There are three varieties of Ceylon Orange Pekoe tea types. This tea and other two other varieties named OP1 and OPA. The largest variety is Ceylon OPA Tea. The thinner and wiry variation is Ceylon OP1 Tea. Compared to other two OP varieties, this is less wiry, but well twisted leafy tea.
T tea has a forest-like scent. The liquor generally has a light golden reddish color liquor almost with an orange tint. Has a delicate lighter taste. Mostly it is preferred by tasters who prefer a lighter liquor. This tea takes slightly longer time to brew compared to other teas due it’s leafiness.
