Produces a strong brew

Beautiful tea from a gorgeous country.

I recently reviewed this tea and gave it 4 stars; I want to up that rating to 5 stars.

I've been drinking it a lot, essentially trying to use it up, but dialing in the brewing parameters along the way.

Now with 3.5 g in 300 ML 190F water for 3.5 minutes, it is very good tea, with a nice after-effect, pleasant flavor, an all-around good experience.

I prefer a tea that is not so finicky, but once the right brewing conditions are strictly in place, this is very good.

Finally, the FBOPF Sp tea. This had much finer pieces than the other 2 teas, not sure if the final 'F' in the designation stands for "fannings'. My first brew attempt was ok, but nothing particularly memorable. For the second time, considering the fine level of pieces, I lowered the temp to ~185F and kept the time below 4 minutes. That improved things remarkably for me. Still though, I preferred the other two teas, and do not plan to re-order this one.

The OP1: Fabulous tea. I brewed it at 4g in 300mL in 200F water for 4 minutes. Easily the best Ceylon tea I have had so far in my life. I will definitely reorder it.

First Tea I tried after receiving the package. The tea has a mild tast and is delicious for breakfast or late night drink.
The ordering at theceylontea website went smoothly and the shipping through Skri Lanka Post worked out perfectly.

The quality and taste of the golden tips are excellent. Processing and shipping of the order took about six weeks.
Being charged with an additional costume fee was a disappointment.

Package arrived without problems. Tea is delicious, we enjoytt it every day. Will definitely order again!!

Amazing tea, rich and full of taste

I look forward to drinking this delicious tea to unwind at the end of the day. I learnt about the benefits of golden tips on my recent trip to Sri Lanka. It not only tastes great, but it’s also great for my health.

Fast delivery, excellent and quick support communication, informed sellers. Tea is clean, consistent, and delicious. Very light astringency, light malt, heavy earthy body, floral/special flavor twist aftertaste. Robust and takes milk well, some may be looking for an even cheaper and less subtle cup for milk tea, but this is close to the right balance. I will also be trying BOP fannings and maybe even the CTC offerings to explore the ideal milk tea. 5/5

Late in 2019, I purchased 200 gm. I had wondered about making an international purchase (I live in Wisconsin, USA) and it took a while for the tea to arrive but this tea was so very delicious with a very intense flavor.

Still wary of making an international purchase, when I finished all the tea I shopped for black tea, in the USA, from several reputable online stores. None of the teas compared to the OPA I had bought here.

So I have returned and highly recommend this tea! 🙂

The tea took a while to get to me, about a month, but BOY was it worth it! This has been the most fantastic tea I have had in a very long time, will be buying again in the future!

Unique strong taste

This is a strong and flavourful breakfast style tea. International delivery by airmail was reasonably quick. I would like to know the names of the individual tea gardens sold here.
