FBOPFexsp (Finest Broken Orange Pekoe Flowery Extra Special tea) is a highly sought after Ceylon tea variety due to it’s rarity. This is the grade that could be referred to as the most expensive Ceylon black tea. It is being only manufactured in very small quantities as it has to be manufactured with young tender tea buds and tips off the tea plant. This tea consists of short thin leaf and plenty of silvery and golden colored tips off tea buds.
This grade also known as “FFexsp”, is similar to FBOPFsp tea but has more golden tea buds. When brewed, this tea produces a unique and a deep aromatic forest like smokey scent. And the liquor generally has a brighter golden reddish color with a robust full-bodied strength. Compared to the FBOPFsp, FBOPF Ex sp tea has a strong caramel like taste with a hint of chocolate and nutty like taste.
