Description
Ceylon Sencha tea is a well known Green tea variety of Japanese origin. The same tea is being produced in Sri Lanka. During the manufacturing process, this green tea is initially steamed to prevent oxidization unlike in other tea manufacturing methods, after that the leaves are rolled and dried. When brewed Sencha has a light yellowish liquor, that has a subtle sweetness with a grassy feel to it’s taste. Compared to other Green Tea grades, this tea has lesser bitterness and a refreshing smell. Mostly popular in Japan as a beverage that is consumed throughout the day for it’s energizing effect/feel.
